However, if I had been passed over numerous times for a promotion, then I think you need to start looking at other options.”

Have you sat down with your boss and talked about your position, projects and yearly goals? You can’t sit back and wait for a raise to come to you – you have to fight for it. In this suffering economy, raises and bonuses are scarce – there are only so many dollars to go around. You need to speak up and ask for what you deserve.”
