Career Discovery Channel: Knot a Registry Founder Kira Z. Hug
Kira is the founder of Knot a Registry, an online bridal registry site that supplies far more than just china sets and Cuisinarts. Knot a Registry allows couples to request crazy off-the-wall and hard-to-find gifts as well as experiences. We’re featuring Kira this week because Knot a Registry is seeking creative couples who will get the service for free. You can access the giveaway here.
1.  How do you want your name to appear?
Kira Z Hug
2.  Describe your first “real” job. What are you doing now?
First real job: washing cars and selling insurance.  Currently, I am building and growing an international physician society for theAcademy of Breastfeeding Medicine.  I am also the Founder and Curator for Knot a Registry, a much-needed business in development.
3.  What was the best piece of advice you’ve received?   Here are a few I like:
“… baby steps get on the bus, baby steps down the aisle, baby steps…” -Bob Wiley from What About Bob?
“Everything is figureoutable.” -Marie Forleo
“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face.  … do the thing you think you cannot do.”
4.  Brag. Tell us about something really great or that you’re proud of or excited about.
I will reinvent the world of gift giving.  Just wait.
5.  40 under 40. Ones to Watch. Most Powerful. So many lists out there….. who is on your list (and why)?
You (uh, thanks Kira!)

Alexandra Franzen
Sarah J. Bray
Way more… but drawing blank.
6.  What do you plan to accomplish by February?
Go on my honeymoon!
Finalize Knot a Registry website copy … and love it.
Work with my first client.
Simplify.
Focus.
Hibernate.
Thanks, Kira!
