History
Caroline Ghosn and Amanda Pouchot met in their first professional roles at McKinsey & Company, New York, in November 2008. They leaned on each other as they faced the harsh realities of being ambitious young women entering the workforce, and felt that there was a lack of personal and professional support available to young women in contemporary society.
About
As young founders, their main aim is to create a medium to help young professionals break through the glass ceiling without compromising their identities as women. In 2010 they created a blog which was immediately recognized as the “newcomer to watch” in Forbes’ Top 100 Sites for Women. Influenced by the positive response to the blog they decided to dream bigger and create a tech platform that humanized the recruiting process for women and brings together the ambitious Gen Y woman with her peers.
Levo, a Latin word meaning “to smooth, polish, or otherwise improve,” encapsulates the elevation of self that they hope to achieve through this next step in their journey together as young professional women. The Levo League provides readers actionable career options, live communities to participate in, content to discuss and much more.
